Kristin Kreuk Daily

TvLine has reported Kristin Kreuk is to star in the untitled legal drama that has been ordered straight to series at CBC.

The Canadian Broadcasting Company (CBC) has placed a 10-episode straight-to-series order for a untitled small-town legal drama starring and exec produced by the Smallville and Beauty and the Beast actress.

The project, from writer Brad Simpson (King, Rookie Blue), centers on Joanne, a fast-rising attorney who leaves her fancy big-city corporate job to tackle a controversial case in her hometown. And she ends up staying put.
Production is slated to begin this summer in Winnipeg. There’s no official word on a U.S. home for the series.

I know I’m excited for Kristin to be back in a new series! Let’s hope it finds a tv home in the U.S.
Good luck Kristin with the new series!

Kristin recently talked with Entertainment Weekly about Beauty and the Beast as well as Star Trek. Below is the part of the interview and the rest is behind the read more.

Things were finally settling down for Catherine (Kristin Kreuk) and Vincent (Jay Ryan)—but they’ll need to jump back into action when Beauty and the Beast returns for a third season on June 11.

After alluding to bigger and badder threats in last year’s finale, U.S. Department of Homeland Security agents look to the duo to help take down new beast-like creatures who are in possession of some serious super powers. And they’ll also have to deal with J.T. Forbes (Austin Basis), who was left for dead and injected with a mysterious substance that will show its effects this season.

Ahead of the premiere, Kreuk spoke with EW about what to expect this season and how she imagines Vincent and Catherine’s happily ever after.

Entertainment Weekly: Was the season 2 finale written as series finale?
Kristin Kreuk: The season 2 finale was written as both [a season and a series finale]. We didn’t know what was going on, so Brad Kern and his team had to write it as if it were possibly a series finale and possibly just a season ender. So there was a cliffhanger in there as well, with the DHS agents that they speak to who kind of insinuate that there are more threats out there and that they could use their help.

Day Two of Canada Reads

Day two of Canada Reads was today (March 17, 2015). Sadly Kristin’s book she was defending Intolerable was eliminated on day one. However, Kristin did get to speak about Intolerable a little more today, even Craig (whom sadly got eliminated) defended Intolerable as well. I meet Kristin again today and she was just as sweet as the day before. She is so humble and I don’t think there are enough words to describe how amazing she is. In addition to meeting Kristin, I meet Jill Carter, which was lovely. I must say it’s really nice seeing Kristin’s crew members coming out and supporting her!
